A new building near Kuala Lumpur has become the world’s second tallest building – on this occasion, as a steel and glass structure.
The 638m (2,237ft) tower will be made entirely of aluminium.
If it is built as planned, the building will be taller than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
“We have only just started the process of acquiring our necessary rights,” developer Tenaga Nasional Berhad told the BBC.

On completion, the building will have 10 residential towers, 36 office towers, a 60,000sq m convention centre, and a hotel – with around 5,000 rooms.
It is scheduled to be completed in April 2021.
The timings mean the total structure will be 753m high, not including its crown, which should be slightly longer.
The tallest skyscraper in the world currently belongs to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa , which is 828m tall.
