The CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute has announced the 30 American heroes selected for the honorees from the 50 nominees. From a woman who works with a group that protects transgender inmates from violence to a man who assists vets who suffered in combat, CNN has created a list of heroes who work tirelessly to make a difference in their communities.
Now, the audience has the opportunity to vote for their favorite TV hero by going to CNN.com/CNNHeroes and filling out the online question. In the hours following the press conference, CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute will be broadcast in primetime on CNN’s three channels across the United States. Viewers will be able to watch all the nominees and award winners nominated on the CNN Heroes website through February 22, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
This is the 12th year CNN has organized the event, which honors community members who do extraordinary things in the areas of education, healthcare, arts and culture and global causes. The special, co-hosted by Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Eichner, will take place on February 12 at 9 p.m.
Finalists and award winners will be announced during the event with a special tribute on CNN.
