Dorit Kemsley, the 40-year-old wife of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Paul Kemsley, has been arrested for a DUI following a domestic violence incident in which she allegedly pushed and choked her husband.
TMZ reports that the incident happened at her family home in Los Angeles on Monday. That night, PK, as Dorit is known to fans of the show, was arrested at the Santa Monica police station. He posted bail that evening and was released.
Sources tell TMZ that Dorit got into an argument with PK earlier in the evening and became so enraged that she grabbed him and shoved him to the ground.
Paul Kemsley was arrested on September 27 for assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment. According to People, he is accused of choking his wife and holding her against her will. In addition, he’s accused of pointing a gun at her, but police ruled it an empty firearm.
Paul was not charged for the incident that occurred at the time, but charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney a few days later.
People reported in September that it was an accident that led to the charges.
“At the time, we were optimistic that Paul would be cleared of any wrongdoing. However, after reviewing the evidence, we believe the case warrants prosecution,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
TMZ also reports that on Sunday, PK helped at the funeral of another housewife’s mother, which is when Dorit apparently pushed him and choked him. Police found evidence of the struggle and say that Dorit is booked for one count of DUI, according to The Blast.
According to a new statement on Paul Kemsley’s Instagram account, he thanks fans for their support. “It’s been an emotional week and I want to thank the people of Beverly Hills for their thoughts and prayers,” he says. “I have been disciplined and am spending time with my family. I am healthy and taking time to concentrate on my life and my children. Again, thank you.”
